Johnson County Work Crew

The Johnson County Work Crew is part of the Each One Reach One program that is sponsored by Americorps. The work crew supervises community service projects in the Johnson County area. The work crew works with residents from Hope House in Coralville as well as probationers and parolees in the area. To participate in community service please call Mike Quinlan at (319) 625- 2165.

About Us

The Johnson County work crew is composed of four work crew leaders and a work crew supervisor. The work crew strives to help those with court appointed community service or fines, work in the community to complete their sentence. The work crew completes many projects throughout the year ranging from pulling weeds and setting up for events, to cleaning and construction work. All work is done for non-profit organizations in the Johnson County community. Some of our partners include:

  • Pulling Garlic Mustard (invasive species)
  • Recycling and garbage clean up
  • Flood recovery work
  • Set up and take down at local events
  • Painting

  • Food transport for local food banks
  • Gardening
